I’ve tried several programs like this; some good, some not so good. This program is the best of the bunch. Simple and easy to use, and, in my opinion, this program might be simple, but it’s als simply great!
This promo claims that the application will record from any source. THIS IS FALSE! It will only record from sources available to any other sound or music application on your dock. For a Macintosh IT WILL NOT RECORD MAC AUDIO. (It “claims” to be compatible with OS 7 or later! OK, yes, it’ll run; but it won’t do what you want it to do.)
This app provides me an excellent and user friendly digital recorder for my songs. I typically use a CAD USB condenser mike and my MacBook Pro, play an acoustic 6 string or 12-string guitar and sing my songs for initial recording tracks. I am a folk singer songwriter, so I do not need the complexity of GarageBand or Logic Pro X for recording my songs. I just use a guitar, my voice and occasionally a harmonica. I use SongBook on my iPad and Mac and use Easy Audio Recorder to record the music track and copy it to the song folder that contains the lyrics and chords on a sheet from SongBook. Highly recommended!
Looking for an application to record myself reading a textbook so that I can listen to it in the car, working out, etc, to help me study. This app is perfect and simple. Easily recorded 2+ hours of audio the first night I downloaded this app. If you are looking for super simple record and playback capabilites, this app is great. I have not tried it to mix sound, record music, etc, just simple speech.
You cant choose the directory of the audio file. All files are storaged at one certain folder you can not change. The files are rather big as well. Very limited optins to chenage format.
Exactly what I wanted. Easy and straight forward …hit the button to record, another to pause and resume if required, and one to complete the recording.
This app looked simple enough to utilize for what I needed (short voice recordings, solo auditions for a choir, etc.). I used the app ONCE to record myself (less than 10 sec. record time), then listened to it. The recording was very quiet (volume was turned all the way up on my Mac), but it did work. I deleted it and decided to record again for a little bit longer. After recording, I pushed PLAY on my recording…lo and behold- the FIRST recording played back to me. This happened 5 more times. I have still not been able to record anything and have it play back- it STILL plays back my first recording. AWFUL! I want a refund.
This is a terrible recording application, I cannot change anything and you cannot even play back files or change their names. There are no customizable features and your recording is in WAV, no other options bit rates or anything. Im very disappointed spending my 1USD

Don’t waste your money… Download the free app, (Lite), there is NO difference other than you’ll pay $3.99 for nothing!

Love this app…makes it extremely easy to do recordings of any length and the quality of the recording is excellent. Love it!

Routing of sound for recording dosen't work as it should. Can't remember how I had it set previously but makes the pretty usless. The main reason for getting this app is to record.

Not Intuitive at all
I have the paid version, and it’s been difficult to (1) determine which format could be imported into Final Cut Pro where we cold edit the content and remove parts to of it. Wav or AIFF should have worked, only. AIFF did. Once tracks re-recorded from an iPad (we had to just play the tracks since those files could not be exported). The voices had been recorded on an M5 iPad Pro, and re-recorded onto an M1 Max Pro Studio Mac with a professional microphone. I must say that the quality of the final result was very good! Just wasted a lot of time on things that should have been intuitive.

This is one of the most useful apps I have ever downloaded. I can use it to record interviews while I type notes. It is easy to use and makes good quality recordings.
Great recording app
Great app for recording if you compare it to many other recording apps. The recordings are clear, and I haven’t notice any adds that pop up that prevent me from recording.

Not getting good recordings
For some reason, I am not able to get good quality recordings while using this app. My microphone is working correctly, it is an external microphone. I have the microphone volume setting on 100%, and I also have my Mac Mini's microphone volume setting on 100%. Interestingly, I can get really good audio recordings using the GarageBand app with the same setup. I don't know if it's a flaw in this app, or if it's a limitation imposed by Apple on third-party software that uses the microphone?
Easy to Use
I frequently use Easy reader and it is simple and reliable.
Fairly easy to operate but crashes
Any layer of multiple editing will cause the software to crash. i THINK it can be operable with one uploaded audio file but TWO will not work. the app will freeze out causing you to force close.
doesn't record MP3
I searched for a mp3 recorder and this came up so I paid $3.99 only to find out it doesn't record MP3. I want my money back :(

Simple and functional ...
Great app for doing what it claims to do. Importantly, it does not collect your usage data and content (unlike other apps that should be avoided). I especially like the fact that it supports Voice isolation form the Mic Modes in macOS Control Center. Thank you!

WhenI've paid for an app I do NOT want to be asked at every turnj to rate the app. I would've rated this app at 4 stars (just a couole of things that need fixing) but because of the constant carping you get 2 stars.

I really like this app, works great on my 2009 Mac Pro, I have head set that has a built in mic so now I don't have to use the app in my phone. Great app and you can send the recordings through your email.

Straightforward to Use
Almost everything for doing a simple stereo recording is there. Has an Input selection menu. You can move your playhead on a playback timeline. You can select the recording for playback in front of you. However, you cannot monitor what you are recording while it is being recorded. Missing for me is a volume control. You must have enough level of audio from your source. Otherwise, this app works for me.
TOTALLY USELESS
It simply does not work. No controls, no options, no recording no nothing. This is FAKE SOFTWARE.And I am convinced Max wrote all these fake reviews

I love it. I do wish it had som more options for sharing and syncing and other tweaks to maje it even cooler. But either way, it is the best Mac audio recorder available!

Useful simple Application for recording, it works!! Thanks to the developers for providing this great app and making it available for recording purposes. This App records in .m4a which is native to the iTunes format.

Simple app with more adds than controls. This is just a simple recorder. Audacity is much better choice to record a podcast o anything else

You are right, it is easy, and I love that. But what I would like, is if it could be on a loop, and it could repeat as long as I would like it. I use it all the time, almost everyday. Thanks.
Simplicity at its BEST!
I have done full recording studio work at one time in my life. Let me tell you, I have no idea how any of that stuff works. There are wayyyy too many buttons and dials. When I announced some years ago that I want to do podcasts, there were so many suggestions to put up baffles, change a room in my house one way or another, buy certain software; I was turned off. Now, I know I'll probably put this in audacity or something to edit for sound level management. But, overall, this has been a great, simply, and quick option to make sure I record what's on my mind to address my listeners at the moment I think of something. I can always go back to edit.
Great for recording podcasts
Since COVID forced us to start recording podcasts remotely, I needed something simple that could record high-quality audio to .wav format on OSX. This program does the trick beautifully.

Terrible App
I just purchased this app after reading so many positive reviews. I could not get it to play back a single recording. I started with a 20 second recording. At playback there was only silence. I checked the speaker volume. It was not muted. I tried shorter, test recordings. Nothing. When I opened the file into iTunes, it said my 5 second recording was one hour long. And no sound. I would like a refund. This app is trash.
Easy to use
Way to easy... this is a quick and effective way to record and then store ideas, speaches, content for books and then transfer to a program that converts to text. I go to software for both my Blog and Podcast development.
